Energy Chemical Engineering

Objectives

Students who complete the undergraduate program in Energy Chemical Engineering will:

1. Demonstrate the ability to carry out research and development, engineering design and process optimization of low-carbon clean energy, renewable energy utilization, high-efficient energy conversion and energy evaluation on coal industry, power industry, and petrochemical engineering industry.

2. Acquire basic and professional knowledge about chemical engineering and know about the frontier problems and development status of energy chemical engineering.

3. Acquire a foreign language and use basic computer knowledge and general software to program for solving chemical engineering problems.

Graduation & Degree Requirements

 Students have to gain at least 177 credits to graduate, among which 94.5 credits from compulsory courses, 36 credits from selective courses and 46.5 credits from practice teaching. Students have to pass CET-4 to gain the Bachelor degree.

Career Prospects 

Graduates work in Coal Chemical Industry, Natural Gas Chemical Industry, Comprehensive Utilization of Chemical Engineering in Power Plant, Biological Energy Chemical Industry, Solid Waste Treatment Industry, Oil Processing Industry, Petrochemical Industry, and Catalyst Production and Development Industry.
