Global Energy Policy (GEP)

 
Mission and ambition
The influences of various energy policies on global energy security and energy investments are cumulatively increasing. Against this backdrop, the GEP group is committed to the research on energy security, public policy structure for energy investments, macroeconomic policy, geopolitics, and their interrelations. The research directions are as follows:
 
1. Global Energy Geopolitics and Geoeconomics
The research focuses on the changes of global energy political patterns in the global energy geopolitics context, as well as global energy market and its development tendency under economic globalization.
 
2. Global Energy Governance Mechanism
The research centers on the global energy governance mechanism, structure, development tendency and the formation of new order, which include the role of international organizations (International Energy Agency, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, etc) in promoting energy security, and important multilateral and bilateral cooperative mechanism and policies.
 
3. Regional/ National Energy Market and Energy Strategy
The research focuses on the energy market and policies of key energy production and consumption regions/nations, including China, Europe, North America, South America, Russia, Central Asia, etc.
