Recently, a delegation led by Ju Youqian, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department of Gansu Province, and Lu Ge, Director of Science and Technology Talents and Popular Science Division of Science and Technology Department of Gansu Province, arrived at Lanzhou Jiaotong University to present SARYYEVA JAHAN (Chinese name: 加汉), an alumna of China University of Petroleum-Beijing, with the certificate of “Dunhuang Award” for foreign experts in Gansu Province in 2022.
Dunhuang Award is an honorary award established in October 1996 in recognition of foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Gansu Province. The award is selected once a year, and a total of 87 foreign experts have won the award.
JAHAN studied for a master’s degree in Business Administration at CUP from 2016 to 2018. Since 2019, she has been a foreign teacher in the School of International Education of Lanzhou Jiaotong University, and she is mainly responsible for international education and management services for international students in China. JAHAN is proficient in Chinese, Turkmen, Russian, English and Turkish, and has rich experience in international cooperation and exchange between China and foreign countries. During her tenure, she promoted many educational, scientific and cultural exchange and cooperation projects between Lanzhou Jiaotong University and North Macedonia, Russia, Turkmenistan and other countries, took the initiative to undertake Chinese teaching for international students in China, and actively spread Chinese culture. In 2020, JAHAN won the second prize at the school level in the Young Teachers Teaching Competition of Lanzhou Jiaotong University. In the same year, she published an article Wind, Rain, Laughter and Tears in International Talent.
