Mission
State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing is the only one laboratory for Heavy Oil in China. The Laboratory conducts research and development aimed at solutions to process and use of Heavy Oil efficiently.
Research Areas
The areas that constitute the core of the work performed at State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing are heavy oil chemistry, heavy oil conversion catalyst , and heavy oil conversion engineering and technology, all supported by a broad research base in Petroleum Chemical Engineering.
Organization and Faculties
State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing is organized into technical divisions and service departments under the governance of an Academic Committee, a Director and Associate Directors. The Laboratory has a strong team with more than 80 members including 4 National Outstanding Youth Science Fund Owners, 2 Chief Scientists of “973” Projects, 2 Chair Professors of “Cheung Kong Scholar”, and 1 Member of Youth Thousand Talents Program.
