International students from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) Participated in the CUPB World AIDS Day Activity

On December 1st, the 33rd "World AIDS Day", the College of International Education organized all the international students of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) to participate in the  CUPB World AIDS Day Activity.

This activity aims to popularize the knowledge of AIDS prevention and control to all teachers and students, advocate the correct understanding of AIDS and eliminate discrimination against HIV infected people and patients.

International students from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) watched the sign language song performance brought by the Sign language Department of the CUPB Red Cross. Learned the knowledge of AIDS prevention on the spot, got the brochure; participated in the interactive session of "Would you hug me if I were an AIDS patient", and hugged the volunteers who acted as AIDS patients on the scene; signed on the board and took a group photo.

 

Students from Turkmenistan, Russia, Sudan, The Philippines, the Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries participated in this activity. The theme of this year's World AIDS Day, "Join Hands to Fight AIDS, Share Responsibility for Health", aims to highlight the need to strengthen solidarity and cooperation in the context of the global fight against COVID-19 and AIDS and other major infectious diseases around the world.

 

International students at China University of Petroleum (Beijing) have raised the awareness of AIDS and deepened the understanding of AIDS patients through this activity.
