International students won good results in the 7th Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing, and Explanation Competition
Recently, the Ministry of Education, State Language Commission, Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, Beijing Language Work Committee respectively announced the Chinese winners of the 7th Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing, and Explanation Competition and the Beijing Preliminary Competition.
At the National Competition of the "Poetry Education in China" Poetry Lecture Contest, AUNG MIN KHANT, a 2023 bachelor student from Myanmar majoring in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, won an Honorable Mention for his insightful interpretation and vivid presentation of classical Chinese poetry. At the same time, in the National Competition of the "Reciting China" Classic Reading Contest, BATSUREN AZZAYA, a 2023 bachelor student from Mongolia majoring in Marketing, also received an Honorable Mention for her emotionally expressive recitation of Chinese classics. These achievements fully demonstrate the outstanding results attained by our international students in learning and practicing Chinese language and culture. These accomplishments are not only personal honors but also vivid reflections of the International Education College's long-term commitment to promoting the international dissemination of China's fine traditional culture and deepening its "Chinese language + culture" educational model.


In recent years, College of International Education has actively leveraged school-wide events such as Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing, and Explanation Competition, the "I Am a Recter" Recitation Contest, and campus selection rounds for the Chinese Poetry Conference. Through these initiatives, the college has engaged international students in cultural practices including classic recitation, poetry interpretation, and Chinese character writing, fostering an immersive environment for learning Chinese culture. By integrating classroom instruction with cultural activities and competition-driven engagement, the college guides international students to enhance their Chinese language proficiency and deepen their understanding and identification with Chinese culture through experiencing and interpreting classics.
In the future, the college will continue to deepen the integration of language education and cultural education, build a more diverse cultural exchange platform, help international students in China become cultural envoys of Know China, Befriend China, Love China, and contribute to promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture to the world.
