Two International Student Entrepreneurship Teams of CUPB have Entered the Top-60 in China Division of 2020 Alibaba GET Global Business Challenge

On May 9, 2020, the 1-round result of the Alibaba GET Global Business Challenge China competition in 2020, organized by Alibaba Group and CCN Secretariat, was announced. As of April 30, more than 1,000 international students studying China had registered for the Alibaba GET Global Business Challenge. The competition is dedicated to exploring solutions for global digital transformation under the epidemic. Inspired by China's development model in various fields of the digital economy, the entrepreneurial projects of overseas students in China involve health, medical, education, manufacturing, agriculture, retail, logistics and other fields. After the professional evaluation of the organizers, 60 entrepreneurial teams successfully qualified for the next round of the competition.


In the Alibaba GET Global Business Challenge, two international student entrepreneurship teams of CUPB emerged from more than 250 teams in the China division and successfully entered the top 60 in the China competition.


The two entrepreneurial teams of international students are GH Digital Business Inc., which is composed of ghanaian graduate students OSEI BOAKYE NANCY PEARL, ADJEI BESTMAN BAFFOUR, OPOKU APPAU PRINCE and AMOAKO KOJO, and Smart Waste Management, which is composed of Nigerian doctoral students EGWU SAVIOUR BASSEY, YUSUF IBRAHIM and OLORUNTOBA ADEFARATI.


There were 32 international students in CUPB, at all 11 teams took part in the competition. The students are from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Mozambique, Cote d'Ivoire and Uganda.
