President Wu Xiaolin Attended the "Belt and Road" Energy Ministers' Meeting and Delivered a Keynote Speech at the Special Forum

From October 18th to 19th, the one of the second "Belt and Road" Energy Ministers' Meeting, which is based on the theme of "Work together towards a greener and inclusive energy future ", was held in Qingdao. Han Zheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice prime minister of the State Council, attended the meeting and delivered a speech by video. The conference is co-organized by the National Energy Administration and Shandong Provincial Government. Energy ministers from 28 countries and representatives of high level 9, 18 countries ambassadors, head of the international organizations attended the meeting online or offline, had in-depth discussions on building a closer network of partnerships among countries under the Belt and Road Initiative and exploring win-win solutions to jointly address the challenges of energy transformation and energy security.

Wu Xiaolin, president of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), as the representative of the group leader of the College (youth) working group of the "Belt and Road" Energy Partnership Cooperation Network, was invited to attend the conference, attend the launching ceremony of the network, deliver a keynote speech at the special forum on energy trade and investment, and accept media interviews. Zhu Liying, a 2019 master student majoring in oil and gas field development of the College of Petroleum Engineering, made an English speech entitled "Towards a Bright Future of Green Energy" on behalf of Chinese youth.
