2026 New Year's Day Holiday Safety Tips
Hello everyone:
The New Year's Day holiday and the final exams are approaching. To ensure that you can enjoy the holiday safely and smoothly and complete your study tasks in good condition, we would like to specially remind all students that no matter whether you plan to leave school to return home, go on an outing, or continue your studies at school, always prioritize safety and pay attention to the following points:
I.Holiday schedule: This holiday will last from January 1st to January 4th, totaling four days. Classes will resume on January 5th. Please make sure to arrange your travel plans in advance and do not miss classes .
II. All undergraduate students, master's students,and doctoral students must report their vacation destinations through the E service and truthfully fill in the type of leave:
(1) If you leave the school during the vacation, please select "Vacation Leave" at the beginning of the vacation and fill in the relevant information;
(2) If you stay at the school during the vacation,please select "Vacation Stay' at the beginning of the vacation and submit directly;

III. Safety Tips:
1. Dormitory Safety:
‼️ Pay attention to the safety of electricity and water use. Do not cook or boil food in the dormitory room. If any abnormalities are found, contact the dormitory administrator immediately.
‼️ Smoking is harmful to health. Please note that the school is a smoke-free campus. Smoking, using water cigarettes, or smoking and using water cigarettes within the campus area (including indoor and outdoor areas) is not allowed. Smoking is not allowed in other outdoor areas either. Do not cover or damage the indoor smoke detectors. Those who violate this rule will be dealt with seriously. Open flames are not allowed on campus (both indoors and outdoors).
‼️The area within the Fifth Ring Road (including the Fifth Ring Road) in Beijing is a prohibited zone for setting off fireworks and firecrackers. For the restricted areas outside the Fifth Ring Road, fireworks and firecrackers can only be set off from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight on February 16th and 17th, 2026, and from February 18th to March 3rd, from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight. School and its surrounding areas are designated as a no-burning zone. No student is allowed to purchase, store or set off fireworks and firecrackers. Those who violate the regulations will be subject to administrative penalties by the police according to the law.
‼️ Electric stoves, electric ovens, microwave ovens, rice cookers, electric griddles, etc. are not allowed to be used in the room. Hanging of colored lights is prohibited. Various small household appliances with faults or produced by unqualified manufacturers (including power banks) are not permitted to be used. Carrying of electric vehicle batteries and other accessories into the building is not allowed. Lighting of incense and mosquito coils is not permitted when the occupants are not in the room. When the occupants are not in the room, no charging items should be present and the air conditioner should not be kept on continuously.
2. Traffic Safety:
When taking vehicles, be vigilant, fasten your seat belts, and do not ride in "three-no" vehicles (without license plates, without certificates, and without insurance) or vehicles that are speeding, overloaded, driving under the influence of alcohol, or driving while fatigued. Obey traffic regulations and do not cross the road randomly, do not run red lights, do not climb over isolation barriers, do not play or fight in the areas near the road or under the vehicle blind zone.
3. Food Safety:
When purchasing food, carefully check the factory name, address, production date, and shelf life. Try to choose fresh and food with a short storage time. Do not purchase "three-no" food or expired food. Try to eat cooked food, do not eat rotten or deteriorated food, and do not drink contaminated or unclean water. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention immediately. For sudden food poisoning incidents, go to the hospital immediately.
4. Travel Safety:
Before traveling during the vacation, pay attention to the weather conditions. Try not to go outside in extreme weather. Do not visit dangerous areas such as mountains, beaches, or water areas, and do not explore, tour, or view areas that have not been developed. Do not play on the frozen river surface to prevent ice cracks. If someone is drowning, shout for help loudly and ask professionals for rescue. Do not blindly enter the water. Avoid dangerous areas such as power poles, transformers, fallen advertising signs, trees, etc.
To ensure everyone's safety, please do not participate in or organize large-scale gatherings without the school's approval. Do not go to crowded activities. Pay attention to the issue of alcohol consumption and avoid behaviors such as excessive drinking and causing trouble after drinking.
5. Anti-Fraud Safety:
Effectively enhance anti-fraud awareness and skills, learn to identify various typical fraud methods. Do not randomly fill in personal information such as ID numbers, mobile phone numbers, and bank card numbers. Do not easily believe calls or text messages from unknown sources. Do not easily disclose bank card passwords, SMS verification codes, etc. to strangers. Do not give any opportunity to fraudsters. Be cautious of online loans, online fraud, phone fraud, and job-hunting traps.
