Notice(2) About Applications for the 2020-2021 Academic Year

Notice Number: 2020 (2)

Dear all prospective students,

The admission of international students for the fall semester 2020 entry is going on as scheduled. We welcome all international students to apply for the programs available at CUPB. For more details, please visit the official website of the College of International Education (overseas.cup.edu.cn).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some changes and rearrangements have been made to the 2020 admission of international students at CUPB as follows:

1. In order to streamline the procedures for application and document review, CUPB continues to adopt an online application and document review scheme this year. Please read the CUPB 2020 Admission Guide for different programs and submit your application materials through corresponding application systems.

CUPB scholarship programs and self-supported programs will be implemented on plan as earlier indicated on the website, the deadlines for the different programs are as follows:

Chinese Language Program: 2020.06.30

Undergraduate Program: 2020.06.15

Postgraduate Program: 2020.05.30

We would like to remind you that all documents that you submit online must be authentic, recognizable and complete. You DO NOT need to post any hard copy of your application materials to us before you are accepted by the University.

2. The deadline for the Chinese Government Scholarship program application, including the Chinese University Graduate Program, Silk Road Program, Chinese-African Friendship Program and Shanghai Cooperation Organization University Program, has been postponed to May 20th, 2020.

3. Applicants who are current international students studying in China and are going to graduate in 2020 can apply for delaying the submission of some necessary documents, including the Pre-graduation Certificate, No-criminal Certificate and Physical Examination Form, which are unavailable due to the temporary closedown of universities, physical examination departments of hospitals and Exit & Entry Quarantine Inspection Administration. Such applicants are supposed to write an e-mail to the College of International Education Admissions office (e-mail address: inquiries@cup.edu.cn) to apply for late submission and to submit the delayed documents before the notified deadline according to our notice.

4.Postgraduate program applicants can search for supervisors’ contact information on our website and contact supervisors to get Supervisor's Acceptance letter (download from http://overseas.cup.edu.cn/en/?c=content&a=list&catid=195) by e-mails. Applicants who have got acceptance letter issued from CUPB supervisors should upload the acceptance letter onto the online application system, and request the supervisors to send soft copies of recommendation forms to the email address: inquiries@cup.edu.cn

5. CUPB is now conducting the review of application documents with strict criteria and prescribed procedures. The final list of Chinese Government Scholarship winners will be released after an official confirmation from the CSC. Expectedly, the release of the final admission result will be delayed this year. CUPB thanks you for your understanding and patience when waiting for the result. Please keep following the updated news on the College of International Education’s official website (overseas.cup.edu.cn) .

If you have any query when making applications, feel free to contact us through e-mails (email address: Mr.Shi admission@cup.edu.cn or  Mr Andrew inquiries@cup.edu.cn ).
